1. Our commitment

Discover Elizabeth is committed to making elizabethcharlotte.com usable by the widest possible audience, including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. 3. Measures we have taken

• Semantic HTML. Pages are built with proper heading structure, landmark regions, and semantic elements so screen readers and other assistive technology can navigate content logically.
• Keyboard navigation. Interactive elements — links, buttons, menus, and the cookie consent control — are operable using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or touch input.
• Color contrast. Text and background color combinations are chosen to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Alt text. Photographs and informational images include descriptive alternative text; purely decorative images are marked so assistive technology can skip them.
• Visible focus states. Elements that can be focused by keyboard display a visible focus indicator so keyboard users can track their position on the page.
• Reduced motion. Animations and transitions respect your operating system's "reduce motion" preference where technically supported.

4. Known limitations

Some content — such as schematic neighborhood maps, boundary diagrams, and other interactive figures — is inherently visual. Where these appear, we provide a text alternative describing the same information (for example, a written description of a boundary or a data table alongside a chart). If you encounter a figure without an adequate text alternative, please let us know using the process below so we can add one.
